How do I upload photos from my camera to the cloud automatically?
Use your camera's built-in FTP transfer over Wi-Fi or a tethered phone. The camera sends each frame to a server as you shoot, so the photos arrive without a card reader, a laptop, or an import step. Most professional bodies from Canon, Nikon, Sony and Fujifilm support FTP or FTPS natively.
What you need
- A camera with FTP transfer (built in, or via a grip or wireless transmitter).
- A network at the venue. Venue Wi-Fi if it is reliable, otherwise a phone hotspot.
- An FTP destination that files photos into the right album on arrival.
What it changes
The import step disappears. It is not that importing gets faster: it stops existing, because the photos are already on the server by the time you put the camera down. That is the difference between delivering tonight and delivering on Thursday.
