Data Deletion

How to request deletion of your data from SnapFlow, including any data we received via Instagram or Facebook.

1. Delete your SnapFlow account

If you have a SnapFlow account, you can delete it yourself in a couple of clicks. This is the fastest path and removes everything we hold about you.

  1. Sign in to your SnapFlow account.
  2. Open Profile (top-left avatar).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Type your email to confirm.

All photos, albums, FTP credentials, and connected Instagram tokens are removed within 30 days. Backups roll over on a 30-day cycle, after which the data is unrecoverable.

2. Disconnect Instagram (keep your SnapFlow account)

If you only want SnapFlow to stop accessing your Instagram account — without deleting your photos and albums — there are two equivalent ways:

From SnapFlow

  1. Sign in and open Socials → Accounts.
  2. Click Disconnect next to your Instagram account.

SnapFlow immediately revokes the access token, stops all scheduled posts, and deletes our copy of your Instagram username, follower history, and post analytics within 30 days.

From Facebook / Meta

  1. Open Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations.
  2. Find SnapFlow in the list.
  3. Click Remove.

Meta will notify SnapFlow that you removed access. We then delete the connected account record on our side automatically — no further action needed from you.

3. Request deletion by email

If you can't access your account or you'd rather have us handle it, email us with the subject line "Data deletion request" and the email or Instagram handle you used:

support@snap-flow.org

We confirm receipt within 72 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with Art. 17 GDPR ("right to erasure").

4. What we delete

  • Your account email, name, password hash, and login history.
  • All albums and photos you uploaded, including thumbnails and rendered variants.
  • FTP credentials, sync-app sessions, and mobile device tokens.
  • Connected Instagram and TikTok accounts, access tokens (encrypted at rest), and any cached Meta Graph API data we synchronised about you (post analytics, follower counts, hashtag performance).
  • Scheduled and posted Instagram drafts created via SnapFlow.
  • AI-generated artefacts derived from your data (caption drafts, voice analyses, reel scripts).
  • Face-recognition embeddings, identifier bindings, and any other biometric data you opted in to.

We retain a minimal record of the deletion event itself (date, anonymised account id) for one year so we can prove compliance — Art. 5(2) GDPR accountability principle.

5. How long this takes

  • Self-service deletion: instant in the application; backups complete within 30 days.
  • Email request: first reply within 72 hours; deletion within 30 days.
  • Meta-initiated deauthorisation: SnapFlow processes the deletion within 24 hours of Meta's notification.

6. Questions

Email support@snap-flow.org for anything else, including Subject Access Requests (Art. 15 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
