How do I share a photo gallery with a client?

Upload the photos to an online gallery and send the client a single link. The client opens it in a browser with no app and no account, views the full set, and downloads what they need. Good gallery software also lets you password-protect the link, set an expiry date, and control whether downloads are web-resolution or full size.

The link replaces the three things photographers used before it: a file transfer service that expires in seven days, a shared cloud folder that shows the client your folder structure, and a ZIP over email that bounces.

What a client gallery should do

  • Open on a phone. Most clients open the link on a phone before they ever see it on a laptop.
  • Work without an account. Every signup step between the client and the photos costs you downloads.
  • Control the download. Web-resolution for sharing, full-resolution for print, and the choice of which you hand over.
  • Expire, or not. A gallery you can close is a gallery you can re-open as a paid re-download later.

In SnapFlow

Every album has a share link and a QR code. You choose per album whether it is public, password-protected, or time-limited, and whether guests can download full-resolution files. The gallery fills while you are still shooting, so the link can go out before you leave the venue.
